All About Chloe!
Hi! I'm Chloe! I am originally from Sacramento, California and after receiving my BFA in Acting from Southern Oregon University, I decided to continue my theatrical training at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's apprentice program in Boston, MA where I am currently based now. I am passionate about Shakespeare's classics and creating new work. During my time at Southern Oregon University, I trained in devising and clowning with Brendan McMahon and Alina Ceñal where I created my own one person show which I still work on today! I love collaborating with playwrights on their new works, exploring character development and discovering things on our feet. I have helped create new pieces at NYC's In Confidence Club, The New York Theatre Festival, The Broadway Bound Theatre Festival and now, Greater Boston Stage Company. My clowning training has also brought me to create an online sketch comedy company here in Boston called Sketch Co with my colleague Cleveland Nicoll, you can watch our sketches for free via our Youtube Channel! My passion for Shakespeare's text began long before my time at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company but during my time there I was able to hone my craft for bringing life to the words on the page. Through my movement training, I am able to bring clarity and excitement to Shakespeare's clowns and his lovely ladies. When I am not acting, you can find me screaming at the Las Vegas Raiders through my television, bartending at Boston Chops, or teaching at the Ward After School Program. Up next, I am back on tour with Shit Faced Shakespeare in Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet! I am also understudying the new play Founding Effers at Greater Boston Stage Company this spring. Tickets for that amazing show are available here!
